our approach

We make taking responsibility for your plastic footprint easy

Here’s what your Plastic Neutral journey looks like

Plastic neutral certification

What does it mean to be ‘Plastic Neutral’?

Becoming Plastic Neutral means that for every kilogram of plastic used by a company, one kilogram is collected or recycled on their behalf that wouldn’t otherwise be.

Our Plastic Offsetting system is guided by the following core principles

Real

All collected, recycled, or upcycled plastic waste must be proven, with sufficient proof, to have taken place

Measurable

All collected, recycled, or upcycled plastic waste must be quantifiable using recognised measurement tools against a credible baseline

Independently Audited

Our Impact Partners will be audited by an independent third party at periods to be agreed upon, being yearly at a minimum.

Additionality

Plastic waste that is collected, recycled, or upcycled must be additional to what would have occurred if the project had not been carried out (the baseline)

Conservative

Conservative assumptions, values, and procedures must be used to ensure that the collected, recycled, or upcycled plastic waste is not overestimated.

Transparent

There must be sufficient and appropriate disclosure of the plastic waste collection and recycling activities to allow Waste Revolution to verify the impact

How we verify our impact
